Appointed President and Chief Executive Officer in 1998 after more than 25 years of service at South Nassau Communities Hospital, Mr. Quagliata’s leadership and vision has broadened our services and enabled the hospital to forge new directions and respond effectively to the changing health care needs of this community with new services, medical advancements and technologies. During his tenure, the hospital has expanded our specialized outpatient services throughout the south shore of Nassau County and also established new programs and facilities including: a Comprehensive Cancer Center, a Family Medicine Center, Primary Care Center, Sports Medicine and Physical Rehabilitation Facility, Outpatient Dialysis Center, Wound Care Center, Center for Weight & Life Management, World Trade Center counseling program, and most recently, a Center for Cardiovascular Health.
Sheila D’Nodal, MD
Vice President, Ambulatory Services, Chief Diversity Officer
Dr. D’Nodal serves as the medical director of the South Nassau Primary Care Center as well as the Vice President of Ambulatory Services. As such, she is responsible for physician practices including the Primary Care Center, Center for Weight and Life Management, Sleep Center and Family Practice Center as well as our leading-edge outpatient care programs including the Wound Care Center® and SMART Center for physical rehabilitation and sports medicine. Additionally, Dr. D’Nodal directs a variety of patient- and community-oriented services with responsibility for SIBSPlace, physician and laboratory services, patient advocacy and community education programs, while also chairing our Cultural Initiatives committee.
