Your generous gift is invaluable to helping participants enjoy the normal experiences of childhood.
SIBSPlace is available at no charge to children who are living with a sibling who has cancer or another devastating illness or a parent with a cancer diagnosis. This unique community service program of South Nassau Communities Hospital demonstrates the value people place on the special opportunities of support that children and their families gain by their participation at SIBSPlace.
Your generous gift is invaluable to helping participants enjoy the normal experiences of childhood, even as they are living through the challenges of their loved one’s illness. SIBSPlace is a safe haven where peers and professional staff explore the circumstances faced by the well child, helping them sort out their feelings and allowing them to return home with coping skills that are so essential to their own well-being.
If you’d like to contribute to SIBSPlace, you may do so securely through the South Nassau Communities Hospital website using most major credit cards. Please click the link below and be sure to select “SIBSPlace” in the first drop-down menu where "Please allocate my gift to" is specified.
We hope you'll keep us in mind when you learn of a child in your family, school or community in need of a place to be with peers, where they can learn and use coping skills to navigate a life that has been interrupted by medical illness.
